Another happiness challenge that has caught on is the trackyourhappiness app. This app is designed to not only make you think about your daily happiness, but also find the links between what you’re doing and what makes you happy.

 

How it works:

 

First, you have to download the app for your phone. After you’ve done this, you’re able to make this process mobile, which is essential to getting accurate results. You then enter what time you wake up and go to sleep (regularly). Starting immediately, the app will text you a link to your happiness questionnaire 3 times/daily within the time limit that you indicated you will be awake. A typical questionnaire will begin by asking you to rate your happiness at the moment on a sliding scale. Then, it will ask you approximately 10 more questions about what you’re doing, who you’re with, how well you slept the previous night, are you being productive, and many more. Each response has a different pattern of questions, which allows you to track what’s going on in that particular moment accurately. After 50 responses have been recorded, you receive a report filled with graphs that show you how various constructs relate to your happiness levels.
