Wrapping It Up: What Does This Mean?

All in all, I would say this turned out to be a pretty incredible experience. This project meant so much more to me than fulfilling a writing minor requirement. Not only was I able to look at happiness from many different angles, but I was able to blend separate academic disciplines that I have come to love in my four years at Michgian: Communications, Psychology, AND Writing. I feel as though this project was a testament to my incredible academic experience at the University of Michigan. Without the complete free reign of this project, I would have never had the opportunity to explore a psychology topic that I find so interesting in a way that I could be both creative and academic. My hope is that I have successfully presented a topic in a thoughtful, scholarly manner, while also keeping it casual, lighthearted, and incredibly personal.

This project has given me the possibility to explore my own happiness in a way that I never thought possible. Through academic, social, and personally informed methods, I was able to successfully become a happier individual, and I truly hope that those reading this have gained a bit of insight into a topic that I hope you now feel personally invested in.

I challenge you, the reader, to take a positive step towards making your life that much happier. Whether it's thought a self improvement project such as this, or a much more informal endeavor, do something that's just for you--just this once.

After all, we only live once. Why not make it the happiest life you can possibly lead?
